Von Braun was a sociopath and moral idiot who would work for absolutely anybody who would finance him. He's a villain straight out of "Dr. No". That was the point of Lehrer's song, and you *definitely* don't disprove it with your anti-semitic tag line about a "frustrated jew" writing this very funny song. One last point: I'm of German ancestry, and people like you make me ashamed to admit it.

I found out he's responsible for Space Camp... Anyone who did something good for children's science education in this country earns some positive feelings from me. And yet his legacy is inherently ambiguous.

As an American Jew... I also have an odd respect for his never pretending to be sorrier than he was.

I don't believe in classifying a person as all evil, or all good, but addressing their individual actions with condemnation or praise. Wernher von Braun deserves some of both.

If the Nazi's had "the best education" then why their superiority delusion? If they had "the best technologies" then why did they dismiss Einstein's relativity as "Jewish physics" - and only realized how wrong they were too late to catch up? Nazis were ahead in one area: the inhumanities.

Everyone has a little Hitler inside them; the best people admit as much and don't let him out. The worst abdicate their human responsibility to God or State and are thereby capable of hellish deeds.

Im thankful for von brown, he got us to the moon. He could most accuratly be described as an obsessed man, so obsessed he'd make a deal with the devil in order to explore space.
