@Timpy2000 How would anyone know this without reading somewhere? not being devil's advocate. and tower of babel is mythology not history.

You are using bad science in your alarmist video about the LHC. CERN could not have said there was a seventy percent chance if creating strangelets because those are not real particles.
-
They are trying to find evidence of the 'Strong Force' [Higgs] particles that make up 98% of all mass in the universe and how it reacts to things.

Hi there.
You ask, 'Is this insane'?
Well, if you begin by believing the LHC is a 'Doomsday machine' then the answer is 'yes'! You have loaded the question.
However, if, like me, you believe the LHC is a controlled scientific experiment that has no chance of hurting anyone, the answer is 'no'.
Why? Because the temperatures reached in the LHC exist for a correspondingly very short time. So short a time, it's hard to imagine it.

your an idiot, you know absolutely nothing of the machines purpose or uses, and no its not dangerous you donut. Go ahead and read the bible, im sure you'll find everything you'd need to know in ther. Doomsday machine my ass, idiot.

See The Book of Enoch Fallen Angels, on you tube for a different point of view about CERN.

Cosmic rays bombard the earths upper atmosphere with energies even greater than that of which the LHC can produce. If some sort of explosion would arise, if would be happening all the time. The LHC is absolutely not dangerous. The author of this video needs to know a bit more about science before complaining about the LHC. The point of the experiment is to uncover the fundamental laws of the universe, as science has always been about. He shouldn't be so quick to dismiss.

No one wants to play god. The point is to figure out how the universe works. We've been doing it for thousands of years.

@ProxySpam evolution is not blind luck. of course luck plays a role but natural selection by definition is a non random process.
-
@ProxySpam no research is random or pointless. scientists only waste their time when they are pretty sure that there is something interesting to be found on the other side.
@TheMorningCoffee Of course it makes no sense to spend all that money to simulate the big bang conditions.
I could make the same argument and say it makes no sense that your parents spent so much money on your up bringing so that you could post that one bullshit comment.
Grow Up!!!

Do we really live in a world where a volcano erupts and people says "Whoops, look at that! There must be a scientist somewhere doing some s***!"
How can I be proud to be a human being when the greateset endeavours are not just belittled or not understood, but even considered evil, conceited and cause of catastrophy, discontent and misfortune???
