A small voice is no impediment. Look at Tito Schipa; his voice was not large and yet, he was one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century. What is important is projection and of course, intelligence. Grigolo is an intelligent, sensitive singer even at this early stage in his public career. You can develop the voice but you cannot teach intelligence. You either have it or you don't. I'll take my chances with this tenor on the basis of what I've heard thus far.
mes repects! réussir à chanter dans ces conditions, c'est un art pour soi! poussant une table, bousculant des choristes...et pourtant le ténor ne perd pas son sang froid et reste dans le rhythme!
Great singing awfully stupid staging.

Zuerich seems to be "the" breeding place for tenors. Kaufmann, Beczala and now Grogolo. I like what I hear, but let's see how he develops further.

do they do in Zurich any traditional staging of opera? Historical clothing from the respective era and such:-)))?
