  • THAT'S NOT CLEAN!!! it's anyone's judge there. she could be right at the quarter mark. with that angle and this video it's way too hard to tell. gotta love Surya, but you Can't claim something if it it's not 100% true.

  • @2thinkitive It would be considered clean. She got at most 1 quarter turn cheated

  • That quad was the same as (if not better) than the one Miki Ando was given credit for.

  • Under-rotated or clean, it's hard to get that far. Got to respect how hard it is.

  • Anyone who really skates knows that you take off FORWARD on the salchow. Anyway, I can't tell from that angle. Either way its really close. Good job Surya!

  • @slamballmanlita Yes, you start from a back inside edge but physically you ought to take forward to give the jump its direction.

To be called "clean", you have to land on a back outside edge in any case and be at less than a quarter. In the garman speaking country, they don't say "clean" but "landed backwards".

  • @PointBleu You do know on and Salchow it's not really possible to take off forward right??

  • @marialula30 No you're not. A salchow is a jump that takes off on a back inside edge. The only jump where we take off forward is an axel.

  • YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO TAKE OFF FORWARD!!!

  • @turtlew1019 I was in the stands when Ando did the first ratified 4 sal. It was a quarter short, but on a clean backward outside edge, no hop, no nothing.

  • The toe pick hits the ice at 1/3 I'd say but as she doesn't land on an outside edge at first, I wonder how much credit it would have been given

  • Not clean. Forward take off and a quarter turn on the landing - 3.25 revolutions.

  • definitely not clean
