@redbrian3655 People come and go, they make art ,they die , generation after generation only the art and music that they make survives. Thank's to Louis XIV,XV ,XVI , we still have Versailles , every year visited by 3 000 000 people.

@jplully Water was taken from the Domes region in order for Louis to have enough water for Versailles. The people in the region went without. All I am saying is that all of the glorious music and art was for only some..... that's all.I adore it all, but i am very mindful that there were the "haves" and the "have-nots."

@redbrian3655 He means" this period" = "Louis XIV" The "Revolution" was like 100 years later.

@Nickohlson Glorious for WHOM?? I love art and music, but people starved while royalty thrived. Let's keep things in perspective. Heck, why do you think a Revolution occurred?
