Twenty-First Century Sorcery

In the Bible sorcery often means the use of power gained from the assistance or control of evil spirits especially for divining or necromancy. What goes unnoticed is that it also refers to corrupting influences in a generalized way. Additionally it refers specifically to the use of plants and roots us to put oneself or others into an altered state. It is always associated with evil.

Wine is made from plants, as are all alcoholic beverages. It puts people into an altered state. Jesus turned the water into wine. Is Jesus a sorcerer? Is wine evil? By the way alcoholic beverages have been the agents of more human misery than all of the other recreational drugs added together. I like refer, myself.
