I think Bill's rocky sound on these type of blues tunes comes from him using all down strokes. Bluegrass Twist (or Bluegrass Pt1) is similar.

one of my all-time favorites! ! ! ..mighty fine picking -clean, even, full tone from that mando also.
This you could add the next part where you start at the E/A 5th/7th frets and slide up to the 7/10 fret the the 9/12 frets all the time doing tremolo then work it back down. If so it would be awesome.
Did you learn this version from a Kaufman book?

Yes, it's a custom Weber Fern (red spruce top, custom neck, one-piece back, pearl nut).
