I was hoping you would show more about getting superior drummer onto pro tools. clicking the drums to make noises is the easy part...

yeah but you never mentioned anything on how to setup the channels on the pro tools mixer< are they aux or audio , midi, etc.... you stupid fuck, next time you're trying to teach someone something make sure you start from step one you IDIOT!

Oh and another question, I'm sorry. If I just have the room mic pick up everything instead of just the Ride and Crash, will that effect the overall sound too much? Thank you. :)

When I do this, my snare seems to be coming through the overhead mics. Is that a big problem?

@JTMMusicWorld Thanks for replying, I have already figured out how to create this multitrack out for Superior drummer thanks to your video, but I still need to perfect it a bit. I also didn't like the idea that the kick drum output is track 1, and I wouldn't want to move anything around. Now I probably only need to spend more time with it for perfecting all the outs and extra microphones like the room or bleed mic's

@JTMMusicWorld *EDIT* First 20 seconds of the video.
"U need superior drummer version 2.21 for it to work".
I think in 2.21 they updated the superior software to work with pro tools 8 .
Superior 2.01 is a little outdated and is buggy.

@YTcomic Yeah i struggled with this for ages.
As the video states. U gotta upgrade Superior to Version 2.11
Let me know how you go :)

how can you play a midi file using this set up? where would you drop the midi file to play it?...ignore my previous comment

@Vapausorava Well it depends on what you mean, if you had a midi track with all the notes on it for a drum beat.
Copy the midi track into the superior instrument track, then you would have to identify the notes as kick, snare, hats etc and assign superior drummer to those notes so it triggers correctly.
Or you could select each line of notes by clicking on the piano roll and moving them with the hand tool to the correct drum/cymbal etc.
Let me know what u think?
