Phantasy Star Portable 2 is....

is it just me or is the difficulty level WAY over the top?

I can't beat the 2nd or 3rd boss XD and i'm a pretty experienced gamer...

My Sega Genesis here in the US only came with Sonic 2. I'm sure that's what happened with most people. I don't believe PS2 was ever a bundle title. All the bundle titles had the 'Not For Resale' thing on them, which my Sonic 2 cartridge had as well.

Sadly, over the course of several moves, all the golden gems of the retro era were sold to what is now GameStop due to the stupidity of ignorant parents.

Screw any more Final Fantasy games, I'm going to just play retro games and the Phantasy Star series will be among them.

I never finished PS2 cause I was so sad after Climatrol I just gave up. >_<

Thankfully the work of fans and rom patches lets us play the PS2 text adventures in ENGLISH (yes!) as well as have new/different things in some of the other games (gameplay/balance/story tweaks).

I remember really getting into Phantasy Star 2. In fact I remember Phantasy Star 2 was 1 of Sega Genesis launching games. Phantasy Star 3 was a let down; that ended my Phantasy Star playing and went onto much better RPG game on the PC at the time.

phantasy star 0 is AWSOME!!!!! get it NOW!!!!!!!!!! it is like phantasy star online ... but whith a single player mode!!!

I love Phantasy Star 3.. it's one of my top 5 games of all time.

Nice overview of the series! If you revisit this, i suggest giving PS1 more time and props (i've played it at least 18 times through), and expound on Phantasy Star Online (DC) as it was the first game (ever as i know) to automatically translate typed text across several different languages! My roomate and i had 2 DCs, 2 copies of PSO + keyboards, 2 phone lines and could play together in the same room with players from Japan, Germany, etc. and have all of our typed-text translated. Wow. Wow.
