Filmed at the McDade House, this is part of Witness's Genesis show. I chose a clip that had a better audio track, although this song developed into a very theatrical piece later, but that cut has bad audio. filmed in December 1980

  • Oh yes! What a great memory. Billy Spence and all the guys were the greatest. In fact, I used to sneak out on school nights (so did lots of my friends) just to hear this band play. The venue was small, the price was cheap, and we all felt like we were watching rock stars! BSpence would have been great on American Idol! That's not fair to the excellent Steelman, and the other super talented guys. Does anyone know where Billy Spence went?

  • To find out info on the guys, drop by the band's website! (Link on the channel page) A reunion is happening next week (April 20, 08)

  • Used to see them in Wildwood and clubs in SJersey back in the day. They used to do some difficult stuff e.g. Tull, elp, genesis, yes et.al. . Great musicians! PHILLY!!!!!!

  • This is hands down the best Genesis cover i have ever heard...this and troubleclef

  • "follow me to Witness rock n roll at the London Ale House"... i did many times each summer

  • I wasn't sure at first. But ya know ,this guy has a unique voice that really works well here. I like it. Hits a few rough notes but hell who doesn't? I think they made it their own. Good job guys. I have the Exact same guitar and this is the first time I've ever seen another one like mine, so thats cool too!

  • this brings back such great memories of wildwood, mcdade house and the stone balloon in delaware, where i am from. Where did all the trick of the tails fans go? does anyone know where jon kearney, of a band called gangster is? they use to play in ridley, pennsville, nj etc. regina

  • Wow, I just listened to Phil Collins and I actually like this version way better... Maybe because this band helps me relive my youth. Billy and all you guys ROCK!!!

  • Wow!!! What sweet memories I have of being so young and beautiful enjoying Witness play this song, and so many others in the late seventies at the McDade and LAH in Wildwood. My sister Christine and all our pals were all underage, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! You had to be there to realize how great this group sounded! Mir

  • this is an excellent cover; very impressed. never heard of this band. found this vid by mistake. glad I did.
