@chrisheadrick And she wasn't that old at all. I communicated with the authors of that book, KIKI, and they wrote to me that they were thinking of doing a follow-up, w/more details on Kiki's life. So far, no word!

I like the original w/o all that fancy techno fancy footwork/repetition. Sometimes more is less.

She died on a Paris street; just fell and died!

Yes, I heard this! As she aged and fell out of fashion, I understand she was very dependent on friends, sadly.

To all who enjoy this film:
I just returned from a 10-day trip to Paris, where I visited 2 Rue Farou...Man Ray's atelier where he lived with Kiki and Lee Miller. It is not open to the public, and is unlabeled. It is just north of the Jardin du Luxembourg, and you can see how, from the loft in his studio, he would have been able to see the observatory, as he painted in "L'Heure de l'Observatoire."
I rented an apartment that once belonged to Fernand Leger, when he was a college professor.

@islajai
Footage comes from four films: The Return To Reason and Emak-Bakia by Man Ray, Ballet Mecanique and The Starfish by Fernand Leger. You can find the films on the DVD collection "Avant Garde: Experimental Films of the 20's and 30's".

I'm too paranoid to paste it. What happens? Does a Japanese ghost come out of my laptop?

Nope--it just turns it into a more spectacular, full-screen kaleidoscopic work of art.
