Wer es in richtig gut hören mag, der hört sich "Das Geheimnis der bulgarischen Stimmen" aus den 70ern an. Kasarova ist als Klassik Sängering phänomenal. Aber die gebrochenen Stimmen der "Bulgarischen Stimmen", das knapp am "richtig" vorbei und die damit entstehende wunderbare Stimmung... das kann eine Kasarova nicht. Zu perfekt und damit voll am eigentlichen vorbei. Gänsehaut bekommt man, wenn ein Chor bulgarischer Frauen singen, die es nicht gelernt haben, sondern es einfach TUEN.

yeah sorry but this sounds nowhere near as good as the version of Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares album. More folk, less opera!

I am sorry but this sounds horrible. This is something that just shouldn't be done. I agree that there are Bulgarian folklore songs that probably will sounds good performed by a classical singer, but exactly the songs from Strandja require this specific ornamentation and typical vibrato that no classical singer is capable of.
I admit Vesselina is a great singer. But this rendition of Kalimanku Denku is probably the worst rendition of Bulgarian folklore song I've heard.

might just be my taste, but i think her voice doesnt really suit the song very well... great singer, though ive heard better versions.

@xenalol The lyrics & an English translation is included in the booklet of Vesselina's CD "Bulgarian Soul". Get it. It's a great album.
