This is the simple way to clean 1/2 of a scrubber screen. The purple stuff on the pipe is epoxy that I used to fill-in the crosscuts.

Every so often you do need to take out the whole pipe and clean the slot with a toothbrush. When doing this you can also clean the inside of the box, but be careful that none of the algae drains into the tank.

  • what size of tank it feed on??gallon?i got some brown algae that has been running for 3 days,nothing like hair algae..mine is new set up 3 days old..
