@LedWhisky69 It just proves their great musicianship.

@Phenomenon58 I agree that it sort of takes the place of the JPJ solo section from 1970 performances such as Blueberry Hill, but Zeppelin also recorded a song called "Feel So Bad" in the studio in 1970 using those same lyrics, but they recorded it as an acoustic slide/blues number. I'm sure you know of it. It's a lot like what ended up on Zep III as Hats Off To Roy Harper. It seems that they decided to just combine JPJ's solo break with the "Feel So Bad" lyrics in '71. Pretty cool stuff.

@LedWhisky69 If you watch the bass solo my JPJ on communication breakdown 1970, the riff to the Feel so Bad is taken from that. They just refined it and made it more solo because if was really an improvisation by JPJ on the 1970 peformance. Goes to show the contribution from JPJ. He is recognized by his Led Zepp fans but otheres fail to see his importance when it comes to LED ZEPP.

The "Feel So Bad" breakdown medley is what makes this version superior to all others. Amazing stuff from the Page and boys.
Years and years ago I had this on a bootleg cassette where, somewhere along the way, someone had added in some really cool reverb/delay effects during that section that it made it even better!

Great version that I did not have on my bootleg. Do you have What Is And What Should Never Be from this show? I love the version from this show but that song was left off the BBC Sessions CD and I haven't heard it in years.

ffffuuuuuuuuuuuu- best communication breakdown EVER

Best Live Communication Breakdown.
Had this since '75, on record and various radio stations played it with the BBC '71 show.
It's on a Boot called "BBC '71".
Was shocked when it wasn't on Zep's BBC '71 concert.
Then found out it wasn't from the show, but actually recorded a week earlier.

NICE!!!!! what a song and the solo is one of page's best and plants vocals were good too.

Best version of Communication Breakdown ever recorded..in my opinion...live or otherwise. I have had this recording on cassette tape since 1980...from a local radio broadcast called the "Archives"...have never been able to find it on a bootleg but here it is now on YT...however..though this version is slightly CLEARER...my cassette recording has a depth with echo of the ambient sound of the Paris Theatre hall which gives it a bigger and more dramatic feel than this soundboard deal. Anyway>> #1.
