My natural hair journey. I have been natural for 7 or 8 years and now I am looking for natural (sulfate/chemical free) hair care products.
I DON'T USE MANE AND TAIL ANYMORE NAJAHFACE, LOL.

I use Dr.Bronner's Peppermint Soap to wash.

Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Jajoba Oil with Mayo as a conditioner.

ACV, rosemary EO, peppermint EO & water rinse.

Veggie Glycerin, rosemary EO, peppermint EO and Water spritz (you can add some MSM powder as well).

After washing and spritzing I apply some whipped shea butter mixed with jojoba oil. I use Aloe Vera Gel as a hair gel. That makes your hair so soft.

  • I know that Mane n Tail shampoo has sulfates in it, but do you use the M n T conditioner?... and if so, what were your experiences with the conditioner?

  • Before I used all natural products I did use Mane n Tail along with Pantene products. I really didn't have much of an experience to mention other than dry, brittle hair. Now that I use all natural product I would never go back. I love the moisture that natural products allow my hair to have. I have not been shampooing my hair for the last 6 months. I have been Co-washing with OyinHandmade, using veggie glycerin spray and also using Qhemet biologics Olive & Honey Hydrating balm.

  • your hair is so beautiful but i wonder how hard is it to comb on a regular basis. My hair is shorter and i takes me beyond AGES i comb from the tip up but it takes for ever and their are many knots and my curls are so tight!

  • Thank you. I only comb my hair when it's wet, never when it's dry. I also have been combing my hair when it has conditioner in it (Honey Hemp Conditioner by Oyin Handmade). It makes it easier to comb when I rinse it out. Much less tangles this way.

  • I'm saying that I'm black. You can interpret what you want to but that's what I am. And isn't it wonderful that Africa has so many different looking people on that wonderful continent.
