The night of the Zeppelin reunion, Atlantic anniversary in 88 on HBO, lots of acts. This was Otis Redding's band w/Steve Cropper & Duck Dunn.
I almost fell off my chair when he announced Paul Rodgers to do Otis' signature tune. Rodgers' 1st gig since dissolution of the Firm. He nailed it. Even threw in Bad Co reference about sitting in the "morning sun".
As he left the stage, Cropper, who knew better than any, said Otis would've been proud of Rodger's performance.
Indeed he would.

un grand chanteur PAUL RODGERS qui reprend un classic

@coolhandluke621 Starting @ 2.31 he just didn't hit it right like he does in other performances. I'm not saying he butchered it because it's still above average. I'm stating it wasn't up to his normal standards like his live performances on Simple Man, Good Lovin Gone Bad and other songs.

@GOODY61 I went back and listened and he was spot on...never once did I hear a flat note. Just don't know what you were listening to.

Yes, this is awesome, but to call this the Blues Brothers Band is about like calling Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses or even calling this band, the World's Most Dangerous Band or the CBS Orchestra. Just because some of the members are the same, doesn't make it the same band.
P.S. This is also not Booker T. and the MG's.

Get his solo LP "Cut Loose" It is awesome. How can it be anything less, he is a soul brother from a different mother. ROCK ON Mr. Rodgers-JW
