  • I stole my high school Literature book after senior class just for the shakespeare. I was also inspired by Shakespeare in Love so maybe i'll enjoy this film...who knows? that is the question.

great review once again...i love how descript and THA-RAH (reference to Maud in Big Lebowski) you are...hope your move isn't a frustrating one.

  • @MaladaptiveCatalyst Haha, I remember in my high school lit book it had a copy of the portrait of Shakespeare at the beginning of his section. I had seen that same portrait in his house in England the year before and recalled him wearing a gold hoop earring. However, in the book they had completely air brushed out the earring.

Thank you! We still have three places up until the end of June, and then it's strictly Austin and New Braunfels.

  • i love this movie so much seen it 3 times i am no intellectual but i love it

and a good hamlet movie would be the one with David Tennant i thought it was very well filmed

  • @sinokman I didn't realize he made a film version. I knew he did it on stage, but not on film. Until Dr. Who started airing over here on cable, I had never heard of him. Apart from Dr. Who fans, I don't think he's very well known here. I'll have to check that out.

  • I don't think anyone studies Hamlet in British schools - it's always Macbeth, R&J and M' Night's Dream, because you can get through them quickly. Remember when Jenks got shat on by a swan after trying to get Patrick Stewart and David Tennant's autographs during a run of Hamlet in Stratford? Ah, happy days.

  • @BaubleRob We had to read those too. We spent a month on Shakespeare in both senior and junior English, so there was SO much we had to read. They often blur together in my mind.

Ahh yes, I remember that swan.

  • Where the fuck have all the other rough cuts gone? We still get the weekenders and the new guy on thursdays but we never see shaun, jake, travis or brock (we see lindsay sometimes) anymore - what's up with that?

  • @MeBeMat You need to ask them that question. My best guess is that they're very busy. Travis has mentioned multiple times about working on his film, The Dead Inside.

  • The moment I realised I was watching a puppet show within a play within a play within a film version of a play within a play was the moment my head exploded with love for this movie.

  • @TheRoughCuts oh and patrick stewart is in it as well its more ore less all the original cast from the play in the movie i would have loved to see the play do but the movie was very well don i hope it comes to DVD lol

  • I was just talking to my ladyfriend about this! Amazing! What the fuck amazinggngng

  • @culwin Indeed you should :-)

  • @PuppyZwolle Yes, it really is quite cerebral. I've known several people who have been bored out of their minds when watching this and almost look as though they're in pain. Others absolutely love it. It's really well cast. I can only imagine how the script would look to a bad actor. Everyone acted it beautifully.
