a quick guide to enabling gui effects in ubuntu and how to get them if your computer is not installing them

btw, in case any of you are wondering, i am still using windows xp, i just have my dock at the bottom, and my start menu minimized on my right screen

  • um, idk, i have never used 6.10, i started with ubuntu on 7.04- i suggeust just try it, idk

  • how to install drivers on 6.10(on virtual pc)

  • um, video drivers? virtual machines do not support 3d graphics as far as i know- so you wont need any drivers unless ubuntu sees some under the hardware drivers area

  • in my hardware drivers it doesnt show any hardware and i already installed them ...what can i do????

  • it said i have no proprietary drivers in use and displays nothing

  • when my driver comes up and i press enable a small scrteen that just has a red circle with a line in the middle pops up. please help!
