"People Like Us" - Series 1, Episode 1: The Farmer. First broadcast on June 10th, 1995 on BBC Radio 4. Written by John Morton. starring Chris Langham as Roy Mallard. "The radio show was critically acclaimed, being awarded "Best Radio Comedy" in both 1996 and 1997 at the British Comedy Awards, as well as winning a gold Sony Radio Award for best comedy. A comedy of wordplay and misunderstanding, People Like Us could be a metaphor for life, in that, while the protagonist is an idiot, everyone else is a bigger idiot - Mallard's questions are usually sensible yet misinterpreted."

  • Thanks for uploading. Pity Chris Langham, will probably not be in anything else ever.

  • @Nicotinejuice ...Perhaps once enough time has passed, he will be able to start working in the industry again...who knows. One thing is for sure, the whole situation is tragic from all directions.

  • @jenzeppelin Well remembering well the British hysteria machine I am doubtful. On a different note. I still listen to bbc7 on the net as I now live in the USA. I love radio comedy. On the Hour, the original Boosh, I may be mad, but I somehow prefer it to TV. I must be getting old lol. I am starting to relate to Ed Reardon.

  • @Nicotinejuice Ed Reardon pretty much has the right idea. Live on simple means with a loyal feline... :) I'm not familiar with too many radio series, so please send me titles of whatever programs you think I would enjoy. :) 4 hours ago

  • @jenzeppelin Not sure if Ed really wants to live on simple means. :)

As for titles, I am sure we can come to a mutually pleasing arrangement. lol

has the disease that the character has

    generalized arthritic psorisis
