Separate Ways: Someone Save Me; Chapter 2 Part 1

Joe's POV

Kevin has just called and he's waiting at the airport. He doesn't sound too happy, I hope they worked through their problems. I'm in charge of driving so this should be intresting.

"Joe, are you sure you don't want me to drive?" Carson asked.
"Relax. I've done this a million times."
"Yeah but did anybody survive?" she asked worriedly.

I climbed into the drivers seat and Carson sat next to me. Nick and Riley were sitting in the back, grabbing the door handles.

"Just try not to talk while I'm driving. And don't backseat drive. That is so irritating." I instructed.

I started the car and everybody jumped.

"Relax guys. You'll still be in one piece when we get there." I confirmed.

I stabbed at the pedal and the car went hurtling forward. I quickly turned the wheel and it swerved to the left.

"JOE STOP!" Nick yelled.

Carson's POV

Joe finally gave in and let me drive.

"I was just getting my bearings." he whined from the passenger seat.
"Try getting them without 3 people in the car with you." I joked.

I was about 10 minutes from the airport and I couldn't wait to see Hayley. She could tell me and Riles all about what happened in the Bahamas, and Kevin could regail Nick and Joe about his sweet romantic gesture. Maybe they would take a hint. According to Joe, Kevin seemed displeased on the phone. Almost stressed. But 2 days in the Bahamas with the girl of your dreams couldn't stress you out, could it?

I pulled into the carpark for Terminal 2 - arrivals. We all walked inside together to try and find Kevin and Hayley, but soon discovered that wouldn't be a problem.

"Kevin! I said drop it!" Hayley yelled from across the airport.
"Sorry!" Kevin yelled back, angrily.

We all glanced at each other and decided to walk towards them. Everybody else was staring at them causing a scene. What had happened in the Bahamas?

"Welcome back Hayley!" I smiled, trying to lighten the mood.

She snarled at me and I glanced at Kevin. He looked warn out and his eyes were red. Poor guy.

"Let me grab those." Joe said taking the cases from Hayley then immediatly regretting it. They were so heavy he dropped to the floor under their weight, causing Nick and Riley to sputter out in laughter. I nudged Riley and she walked towards Hayley and gave her a hug.

"Welcome home sis. It's good to have you back." she beamed.
"Great to be back." Hayley retorted.

Then she stormed outside into the parking lot.

"What happened in the Bahamas?" Nick asked. The question we had all silently been wondering.
"If you find out, let me know." Kevin replied, absently.

We all carried some luggage towards the car and I decided to let Kevin drive. I tossed him the keys and Joe sat up front with him. Nick sat alone in the back while me and Riley sat on opposite sides of Hayley.

"Sound check today Kev. For tomorrows concert." Nick told him.
"Can't wait." Kevin added dryly.

We rode silently for a couple minutes until Joe decided to save the conversation.

"So, how was the trip?" he asked excitedly.

Everybody groaned and I even slapped him in the back of the head.

"What?!?" he yelled, bewildered.
"Shut up Joe!" I told him.

We pulled up outside the house and Hayley ran inside ahead of everybody else. Kevin groaned aloud and kicked the wheel of the car. It was awkward for both myself and Riley. We decided to opt out and give Nick and Joe some alone time with their frustrated brother.
