ONE EYED JACKS was released in 1961 and is widely considered Marlon Brando's film masterpiece (Brando directed the movie after Stanley Kubrick was fired.) Filmed in Technicolor and VistaVision in Mexico and Monterey, California, this movie is a treasure for the senses. Incredible score by Hugo Friedhofer.

  • What a haunting theme song. Makes my heart sing.

  • SOMEBODY PLEASE remaster this, the real "Once Upon a Time in the West"!

  • Back in the 1980's I had the great good fortune to see a dye transfer 35mm print of ONE EYED JACKS at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The Technicolor IB process really revealed the beauty of Charles Lang's cinematography as no video version ever could. It gave me a whole new respect for Brando's film and made me very fond of it.

  • One Eyed Jacks is one of my favorite movies of all time. The writing was unreal. Characters, plot amongst the best. It is #3 on my all time list (behind only the two Godfather movies). Must have seen it over 100 times since it came out. As kids we use to quote the whole movie....

  • One of the greatest westerns ever made..:)

  • @angelasga all time classic and the soundtrack is great! Brando at his best besides The Wild One's.Galildog

  • An interesting aside (besides all the stars being dead - Katy Jurado, Slim Pickens, Carl Malden, Brando, Slim Pickens and Jack Elam is that Brandos love interest (Maria Pena) committed suicide at a very early age (early 30's).

  • I love this film x

  • This is a great movie. If you haven't seen you need to when you get a chance. It was underappreciated when it was released but it is a great movie with a great cast.
