Texas better off alone?

Texas nationalists are urging Governor Rick Perry to 'walk the walk' and consider nullification when it comes to the government's Alien and Transfer Program. The organization says this program is just a federal attempt to use Texas as a dumping ground for illegal aliens. RT's Dina Gusovsky speaks to the president of the Texas Nationalist Movement, Daniel Miller.

I hope you're not seriously stating that the Continental United States plus Alaska and Hawaii needs Texas more than Texas needs the U.S. Yes, losing any state by secession would cause great difficulty for the country, but I'm willing to bet that the balance of the states would survive, just as I'm willing to bet that Texas would not, at least not for long. And as for macho bullshit, I'll go you one better: all this secession nonsense is really a childish temper tamtrum.

@jerico641 You really have no clue Do you? If the US were to lose Texas and if Texas were to recall all it's citizens in it's military there would be no US military. If the tax money and jobs created by Texas were lost to the US the economic situation in the US would be far worse than it already is. You may want to think before you say that Texas should go ahead and secede. It's not macho bullshit coming from the Texans. It is an understanding of what should be compared to what actually is.

Man, why don't the Texans just go ahead and secede? We'll keep all the Federal Assistance dollars, close down their post offices, pull out the National Guard, and I hope they never need the Army for anything. But they are so freaking full of macho bullshit it's not even funny.
