READ ME!!!

This was a sort of limbo decade between the flapper era of the 1920s and the soft, Edwardian era of the 1900s. Many women were still sporting the big, soft, Gibson Girl hairstyles on a day to day basis, however many women were also cutting their hair short, and styling it in fun finger waves as well, especially after the start of World War I.

With the introduction of the war in 1914, women found themselves taking over their husbands' duties as well as their own priorities, and didn't have the time to form big, poofy Gibson Girl hairstyles anymore. Many women switched this style with a short bob, and stylish finger waves or some other kind of slicked back curl.

I mix the two in this video to represent the split in this era: the Gibson Girl was still widely popular, but the short, bobbed finger waves were just starting to emerge.

Sorry for the lighting, I did this when the sun was just starting to set, so it may look a little washed out and blue.
