@str8outtatexas1 I m from France, and we have juste lived 10 years of "rappers" singing about cars, bitches, money ...... but since 2 or 3 years, a new wave of MC's came (thanks facebook because major labels would never have produced their music) and an old school spirit is now everywhere. I mean old school for the lyrics, the story told in the songs, but the music is very modern.
I hope maybe it will be the same in USA, but i think business is even more powerfull in USA so it will be harder...

As an old schooler who grew up on all the 80's & 90's hip-hop it's hard for me to listen to today's mainstream so called music because I'm tired of cats rapping about their dick, bitches,ho's,cars, bling, money, strip clubs, beef, killing other rappers ect. These fucking dirty ass music executives have sold out to promote today's mainstream garbage. What happened to the radio stations promoting real hip-hop like rakim,krs-one,public enemy,x-clan,TCQ,heavy d.,bambaataa, ect. It's pure shit today.
