Citroen is winning because of Loeb, not the other way around. Just like Yamaha started winning because of Rossi or Ferrari to a large extent thanks to Schumi & Co.

The point you are missing - and this is the most important one - teams race cars to sell more of them and when you come to any rally event around the world you will see a lot more Subarus because they OWN this niche market, followed probably only by Mitsubishi..

The reason Citroen has won the last 5 years in a row is because there's basically no competition anymore. The WRC is currently a joke and it doesn't look like it's going to improve. Yeah, what they've done is good, but imagine how awesome it would be if they were actually racing someone.
