the dramatic expression in his interpretation was used by goebbels to help to encourage the population to the ultimate effort .... fuurtwaengler participated in that crime on the german population !!!! he wa guilty in my eyes even if he saved some musicians.....
these guys are all responsible for the cultural holocaust in europe too....its much less shown today this aspect of the naziterror who destroyed the european culture.

why didn't they actually show the scene where he wiped off Goebbels' filthy sweat? As if to prove Mrs. Furtwängler was lying! I have seen the complete video before.
What she said at the end: I completely believe her and it brings tears to my eyes. Though Furtwängler was not killed by the Nazis, he is a Nazi victim. He did not sacrifice his life but his German identity which he loved so much - it was shattered.
