Cloud's Release, minus many family members

Cloud was released, without many of his family members. The stallion attempted to keep his mares nearby while he searched for his missing family members but they would have none of it, they wanted to run to freedom. A clear example of the damage that this sort of herd "management" causes.

Cloud is such a proud leader! He is NOT one bit happy about this, it was heartbreaking to see him keep looking back to call the rest of his family together. Did the mares released with him get PZP? Is so, now the family will be really messed up! The mares will wonder why they aren't getting pregnant and seek other stallions and visa versa. This is such a Tragedy! Thanks for keeping us updated, it must break your heart when you see what is going on.

@rtfitch PZP's effect is temporary. The mare will be able to reproduce again in 2 to 4 years.

I disagree with the BLM's over-management of the herds, while they allow millions of cattle to steal the food that by rights belongs to the horses, but that can't change the situation.

@SmallSilverClouds They've become native to America, they've been here as long as we have. Also if we'd stop playing god, and stop fucking killing carnivores, maybe, just MAYBE there wouldnt be a big problem with starving wild herbivores. But people have to protect their cows, chickens and sheep... they are faaaar more important than a healthy ecosystem. Yep.

i totally feel sorry for cloud and his herds .I guess the humans will stop at nthing to eradicate everything in their path. I mean if these horses are gone they will find other animals to target and get rid of them too.by the way i don't see why it is a necessary need to capture these horses.I mean don't we already have enough resources to maintain our survival which should not include destroying nature and these animals.humans are just getting more evil.there are so many problems we are causing

I have never seen a horse more angry. Why can't they just leave the horses wild, there not destroying the landscape, there used to be millions of them in the west, and the grasslands are still there. Just let them roam free!

Sigh... the romantic, free image that America has of her mustangs is a blatant lie. The horses are not native, and they would have dropped dead long ago if not for the "evils" of management. It's not a pretty death, either- you can have your choice between starving to death or getting your throat ripped out. (Besides, all of the adopted mustangs are now getting pampered with peppermints and wither scratches. Mmm..)

That propoganda about extinction is idiotic. Horsepeople should know.

@EvilSideKick17 You are right, they don't give a damn! Cloud's roundup is in the past now and the latest tradegy..the Calico roundup has resulted in approx. 124 wild horse deaths so far. However, they will have to listen if we can get every single person who watched this video...all 2,807 as of today to call the White House at 1-202-456-1111 and demand that the Calico horses be released from the holding facility before any more die.
