I took these photos at Birch Hills Golf Course near my home in Brea, Ca. where brush fires have been raging all weekend. The Orange County Sheriff choppers in the photos were sucking water out of the golf courses decorative water hazards and them dumping it on the nearby fire.

  • cool photos @davidwilliamreeve

  • Can't really call that a landing. More a low approach. No X-Cntry time on this one haha

  • LoL this reminds me of "Happy Gilmore" when Shooter is complaining about the naked bikers having sex. In this case it would be "There was a huge helicopter sucking water off 17. How am I supposed to chip with that going on?"

  • The firs one is of the San Bernardino county sheriffs departments rescue helicopter 40 King

  • The fire activity is SO unfavorable, let alone scary with the winds.

  • all 16 photos were of either Orange County FIRE Authority copter 41 or California Department of Forestry (fire)
