funny you should mention Matmos and TG/Coil in the same paragraph... both Matmos and Peter ("Sleazy") from TG/Coil performed together in the same experimental music festival last weekend. Their sets were even back-to-back.
Both performers were superb.

"You should look into an artist and their music before making a judgment on them"--noted for future reference. But that comment you made about liking industrial rock AND experimental music being mutually exclusive was pretty ghey. And judgemental.
Also, what the fuck's happened to the forum? Has ZOG haxored it again?

See the second video of this interview 5 minutes in. They're very well liked amongst folks like Throbbing Gristle and Coil. You should look into an artist and their music before making a judgment on them. Their work is strongly experimental and progressive, and they themselves are quite influenced by the previous musicians I mentioned. And their music is very interesting, not "edgy" enough for you?

Disregard everything sesquipedaliantique has to say as he likes industrial rock and doesn't know anything about experimental music. And he refers to himself as a rivethead.
Please enjoy this Matmos interview and performance.

Actually, in all fairness, the noises he makes after the little speech at the beginning were ok.

...possibly.
No, in fact, definitely. Aaaarse.

Sesquipedaliantique,I respect your opinion 'cause I like industrial music (TG are one of my favourite band) but I think Matmos musical research is far from idustrial, they are totally different. You talk about "elitist cock-spanner",but you act like elitist talkin' shit on another kind of music.Don't you think?;)

Industrial music: it's art, it's performance, but it's one helluva lot more too. It's FUN for god's sake. Every industrial band from TG to Chainsaws.and.Children has made horrific noise not just to irritate the goth/raver establishment but because they bloody well enjoyed it. It's chaos, it can't be put in a frame, its practitioners ought to be locked up for observation along with their most dedicated rivet-fans.
Very interesting !
