A prog-rock remake of the Level 2 (boat / submarine) theme music from the NES game Contra Force!

Perhaps you can all understand my obsession with 8-bit music now. When I hear a great 8-bit tune, sure I hear the bleeps and bloops... but simultaneously in my mind, I hear stuff like this, the musical POTENTIAL. It's my DUTY to make it a reality!

This one is, in my opinion, LOADS better than my other Contra Force track. This one is longer, it hits hard AND soft, and yeah, I just love it. This is the music from the Boat level, where you fight everyone from a top view rather than a side view. This whole track is actually based on less than a minute of chiptune, it's a short piece of level music.

If the guitars sound obnoxious at times, I tried my best! :)

Could I PLEASE download it? I seriously like this particular track from both the original and your remakes of this game's music.

BTW, glad to see this is prog-rock type music. A little minor, but big to me, fact is that being introduced to prog rock in a music knowledge class of mine motivated me to pass (I was failing beforehand).

You did an amazing job mate.

But In my personal opinion this music should be at a faster pace. Since, as I remember this is the 2nd mission music, and the 2nd level is near water and based on jet-planes and jet-boats, the music should be faster to suit the environment.

If you could make a faster version, jst like your level 1 vid, I'll appreciate that. 5/5

Some others have commented on the speed of this, I may change it (but only the "metal" section - the beginning section is good at a nice'n'slow speed).

I'm really glad there are more people that can hear more from the 8-bit music and can connect it with real instruments! I listen to my old games soundtracks often, they are awesome and really great tunes. Its like they transmit the energy and excitement of the game.

I wish i could compose music like this! I may try someday, if I find how:P
