@Marauder1981 Patron's a higher shelf tequila than the house first pour (ideally a middle shelf spirit but usually a lower shelf). When someone just orders a bourbon/rum/tequila/whatever you send them the first pour. Catch is, some people decide to come to a bar and say 'I want a rum and coke' and then get upset when they get the first pour. These people originated after Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden and exist today as God's persistant curse on humanity.
