The Apollo 8 mission was a bright spot at the end of an otherwise bleak 1968. America watched in awe as astronauts broadcast live pictures from the moon

  • What an inspired moment in human history. God bless the crew of Apollo 8.

  • they can point a laser at the moon a measure the exact distance from the moon to the earth. because astronauts placed mirrors on the the moon to reflect light back. if they did not do that there would be no way they could measure the distance.

  • @Rsab35 watch?v=LIui93E8kkE

  • never went to the moon....all a hoax....and if it was true they would have made a base on it...

  • Amazing. How anybody can see what they saw & not believe in God is beyond me.

  • Space exploration looks like something filed. It's belong more to the past than the future. That's unfortunate.

  • "For all the people on Earth the crew of Apollo 8 has a message we would like to send you..."

    Absolutely amazing.

The "lunar laser ranging retroreflector array." Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong put it there on July 21, 1969. It is still used to measure the dustance.

  • @tarzie84 You are such a moron.

  • Awesome! Bill Anders lives nearby and I get to see he and his son fly WWII fighters every weekend during the summer. Awesome individual, an honor to be able to meet him!
