יש לנו קול -- גם בחדרה

על הדרה, ביטול וכיסוי נשים

אחותי היהודיה,
חברתי המוסלמית,
את ראשך כיסית,
כי כך אמרו לך,
כי כך חינכו אותך,
כי כך סימנו אותך.

"...יש בך דופי,
טמאה את ושיער ראשך ערווה,
והיצירה המושלמת, שאלוקים ברא , יש לכסות כי פגומה היא..."

ואני אומרת לך, מעל במה זו
שמה שאלוהים יצר,
כל יצור ונפש חייה לחופש נולדה
ושווה את בעיני היוצר עד מאוד... וגאה בך.

כי כך הוא קבע שבזכות את כאן
לחיות חיים אלו, בלי תחושת פגם וכיסוי
מתחילתם ועד תומם.

My Jewish sister,
My Muslim friend,
You covered your head,
Because this is what they told you
Because this is how they raised you
Because this is how they marked you.

"You have a defect ... ,
You are unclean and the hair of your head genitals. The perfect creation, that God wrought, must be covered because it is blemished."

And, I am telling you, from this stage, that what God has wrought, every creature and soul was born to freedom. And, you are most worthy in the eyes of the creator, and he is proud of you.

For this is what he determined, that you are here by right, to live this life with no sense of blemish and cover, from beginning to end.
