Roland have recently upgraded their Cube range of combo amplifiers, the new generation of cubes have several new features such as new effects whilst the higher end models also have amp modeling and a phrase looper. Let's look at the third of the 4 models available which is the Roland 40XL ....

The CUBE 40XL offers 40 watts of power through an 10" high-performance custom designed speaker, there are discrete footswitchable channels via the optional Boss FS series footwsitches, JC Clean and Lead channels with Solo modes for each. Ten COSM amp models are provided, including the new Extreme and there are 8 effects on-board, including Heavy Octave, COSM vintage Spring Reverb, and Power Squeezer for full gain at low volume. An Aux Input allows portable music players to be connected for jam-along fun, whilst the cherry on the cake is an 80- second phrase looper.

As stated earlier, should you wish to you can connect a portable music player such as an MP3 or iPod to the Aux-In jack and jam along with your favourite songs, there's also a direct recording out and a headphone socket for silent practice. to get both A and B switches working I need to plugin to A-B jack in the center right?

@nbl23 If you mean the FS6 pedal them you'll need either a stereo to stereo lead or a lead with 2 mono jacks one and and a stereo jack the other as the Cube 40XL has stereo jack footswitch inputs.

@SpardaKnight2 You can use the Boss FS6 twin pedal or the single FS5 pedals as well as other brands too. Check our website for current prices.

Please anyone make a vid of the Chorus, really want to hear that. The Chorus makes the decision for me. It has to be much like the classic from the jc120 and the sound Metallica get from the jc120. Really don´t like any other Chorus than Rolands jc120
