  • What brand of plane is this, and how many cc engine does ut need to doa safe hover?

  • @ErikJenssen It's a plane sold by Al's Hobbies in the UK. driven by a 200 cc petrol engine, I believe. Any biplane with a correct C or G will be able to hover given enough power to weight.

  • @MajorSterling That I couldn't tell you. My advice would be to ring Al's Hobbies in Milton Keynes, UK and speak to Al himself and ask him specifically what engine James Norris uses. He'll also know whether the engine you have is up top the job. - The Major

  • Hi everyone. This Is my plane. Didn't know this video was on here to be honest. We all have our own ways in how and what we do when flying, I know my limits and tend to stick to what I know. Im not there to Impress I couldn't If I tried lol Im their for the enjoyment and hope people enjoy It to. I admire everyones flying no matter what they do.

  • @killirishred check out this vid

Hanging on the prop! 2009 Jones Beach Air Show

  • @shawnson133 My comments were all in good fun, A little unrealistic humor if you will. and i agree it would be stupid to try and prop hang inches from the ground. i have tried to find footage of a real plane doing a prop hang but i can only find model planes. Have you really seen a plane prop hang the way models do? i've tried to find footage of such an event, but no luck

  • @killirishred be realistic it would be stupid to do it inches from the ground. think of the scale of the plane, the entry speed this maneuver requires makes it impossible to do it that low to the ground. i thought you meant the principal of getting a plane to hang from its prop. that can be done, but that close to the ground no you are right it has not been done and probably never will be done.

  • @shawnson133 A pilot inside the cockpit of an airplane hovered inches off the ground?! wow i'd like to see the footage of that!!

  • @killirishred must have been a while since you where at an air show... they do it all the time. i saw it several times last week at oshkosh airventure

  • I think its about time a Real Life Pilot out there learns to Hover like this, it has to be possible!

  • its funny that even though English and Americans use the same language and words it ends up so different,,,,yet understandable. funny that and chears,

  • nice smoke
