Produced by AST Research (AST Computer), this promotes their brand of personal computer as an alternative to IBM and Compaq, who at the time dominated US personal computer sales for businesses. 19 years later, NONE of these companies are still independent PC manufacturers - IBM having sold their business to Lenovo, Compaq to HP, and AST to Samsung before they vanished from the scene.

An AST was my first computer. The thing ran Command & Conquer like a charm. Ah, memories!

My first system in 1994 was an AST Advantage 486SX33. It played everything I threw at it up until the ground attack missions in Wing Commander 4. Pretty amazing machine. I had4 megs or ram and a Sound Blaster 16 added to it :) It cost us about $850 at Circuit City back then. I still have it in storage. A little rusty now but I could never part with it.

I love this meeting. It's amazing! I wanna smack that boss, and pretty much everyone else in the room except for Ben the IBM guy, he's the only one who seems to have a normal "who gives a shit" reaction. I don't trust the others.

Dang, this is so cutting edge technology. Just imagine a 486 33Mhz. Think of all the demanding PEW PEW PEW games and space age applications you can run on that machine. These people really believe that they build the best machine and I stand in total agreement with them.
