Yo Yo Ma is not the artist. Robert Burkhart is the cellist heard on this commercial

jtg 70, you are correct. This is not Yo Yo Ma's version of the Bach Prelude to the First Suite. The artist is New York cellist Robert Burkhart.
When I inquired, I was told that Robert's recording of the First Suite will be available soon from Centaur Records on ITunes.

I have "The Essential Yo Yo Ma Collection" cd set & that version of Bach's Cello Suite is not the same version as the one used in this commercial. Does anyone know which version they used for the commerical? The version used in the commercial seems to have more expression, vibrato & dynamics than the version on the cd (played in a more linear, less expressive style.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It took an amazingly perceptive eye to create this commercial. It is a work of art in and of itself.
