SmugMug Support Heroes
I think we call them heroes because in the beginning the things that they did were so heroic for our customers. SmugMug's approach to customer support is revolutionary. We hire them for their passion and for their knowledge of photography so that they can understand our customers. The first place we look for our heroes is among our customers. Being customers first, we really understand. We're empowered to do as much as possible for the customer. We want to answer every email and every chat within 24 hours 365 days a year. Our customers often tell us that the best thing that we ever did at SmugMug is the support network that we set up.

Hi Gloria, I am sorry your having difficulties... your site is up and working perfectly - but typing your site URL in a search engine field is kind of like calling directory assistance and asking for the phone number to 555-1212 - you already have the number, you just need to dial it. :D It sounds like you might be in the wrong field for 'dialing.' Try typing your web address in the address bar - if you continue to have trouble, email the heroes at help @ smugmug dot com :D

Have you talk to a support hero...they really are awesome at helping...try checking the spelling again...I wear glasses and I have trouble with my own email address.

Why doesn't my site/page open when the name is typed in, I can't sell when my customers can't open my site, I am seriously annoyed that I am losing sales and don't know how long this hasn't been working, I am gloriabcas.smugmug.com but when it is typed in it goes nowhere in the search engines, now what? gotta get this fixed asap as I have customers trying to open the albums that are supposed to be public. YIKES

Haven't needed a hero yet, but after watching this video......I'm going to try and find a way to need one. FYI, customer service is paramount for me. I really want to… scratch that. I WILL be moving forward with my photography in 2013. Just better be ready, I'm sure I'll need a hero or twelve.

Chris MacAskill looks as good as he did 12 years ago when I worked for him at Fatbrain/Computer Literacy Bookstore/MightyWords! He was an innovator then, trying to launch the budding world of e-books before its time, and I have been with SmugMug for nearly 5 years because of the same goals! Good Job, Chris, Toni and Don!

At Rackspace Hosting we're always looking for ways to support our customers better. The real secret is in who you hire. I love SmugMug's point here: hire your most passionate customers.
Funny, I was hired by Robert D. La Gesse at Rackspace. Before he was hired he was a long-time customer of Rackspace.
Great insight into SmugMug's great service. Cheers Don MacAskill on a job well done!
