North south hit in a game between the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues on Thursday, November 4th, 2010 at the Scottrade Center in Saint Louis, Missouri. It appeared to be a missed call, there was no intent to injure.

Thornton just should have gotten lower and this would have been a perfectly clean hit. Perron was accepting a pass to his backhand side from behind. As soon as he turned forward there was Thornton's shoulder in his face. I don't think this so much dirty as it was just stupid on Thornton's part.

Gleam, a small beam or glow of light, exp reflected light, a BRIEF or DIM indication, To be manifested or indicated BRIEFLY or FAINTLY. good word. Also pretty sure not actually a word. i.e gleamingLY? If you know anything about hockey you would know its kinda difficult at times for tall players like Joe not to take off a shorter player's head when they are looking down. Look at the height difference between the two. Still not advocating the hit but stick to mocking NASCAR
