What would have happened if Murnau had casted a real vampire to play the monsters's role in his movie "Nosferatu"?
This is the premise of "Shadow of the Vampire", a funny, well-crafted dark comedy, directed by E. Elias Merhige and starring John Malkovich (F. W. Murnau) and William Dafoe (Max Schreck/Count Orlock).
Enjoy this clip from the movie and feel free to comment :)

  • Willem should have won Supporting Actor over Benicio Del Toro, IMO.

  • @AngelofMusic04: I totally agree. Dafoe is awesome.

  • I'll eat her later...

  • It's damn hard to find a good vampire movie nowadays. You know, with an original or at least a decent storyline and with a great vampire character.

  • Great movie, one of the more unique vampire movies I've seen (and I've seen a lot). Malkovich and Dafoe are both excellent in this film.

  • That part where the vampire twitters his fingers and his nails make that scraping and scratching noise was so creepy.

  • Dafoe outstanding as always!
