The Departed is a 2006 American film by director Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, and Jack Nicholson. It borrows the general plot from the popular Hong Kong crime thriller Infernal Affairs. The screenplay was written by William Monahan, who based it on an original script by Felix Chong and Siu Fai Mak.

If you want to see the first 10 minutes of this movie then type in The Departed: First 10 minutes. It is am awesome begining for a Mafia Movie.

When we compare the cast's direct role links to the infernal affair cast, it is such a different mix of people and skill involved. The main 2 characters are made even younger than the infernal affair cast. I hope they openly acknowledge the adaptation they have in the opening credits to Infernal Affairs.
