Invited by Diesel to check out the Miami stop of their annual Diesel:U:Music Tour last month, we shot a video taking it back to rock and roll basics with headliners Kid Cudi and Santigold. Talking to them about how the genre influences their own multi-hyphenate sound, we also see the two artists perform (complete with Santigold's clever dancers channeling everything from Public Enemy's S1W to West African moves) to a packed crowd.

I like how the "mainstream" like this is going towards a more open blended era. I think that has been pushed greatly by how easy it is to produce electronically in this day and age.
