what helps--just until your 3rd finger can hold down e on its own-- is to have your 3rd and 4th finger on e together. and then you can gradually take your 4th finger off once you get comfortable with the chord (cuz i know its a lil weir don the fingers). its unorthodox i know...but it helped me so...
