With the passing of evangelist Tammy Faye (Bakker) Messner in July 2007, I looked into my video archives to see what I had. I found only one video of Tammy Faye's 40th birthday program on PTL in 1982. From this program, I selected a clip near the end of the program where Tammy sings a tearful rendition of "Mercy Rewrote My Life".
NOTE: Please watch my visit to Heritage USA - After the Fall, in my more recents posts of May 2008.

  • I would have loved to visit Heritage USA I have a souvenir book i got second hand from it. She was a great entertainer and she had friends of all different backgrounds

  • I still miss watching the PTL Club telecast every morning. Because of the scandal, most people will never know all the good things they did for people. They will never know about the souls they saved, the lives they touched. I still have Tammy Faye's records and tapes. I visited Heritage USA many times, and never had a problem with accomodations. It was a wonderful place for Christian fellowship...I still miss Jim and Tammy Faye...

  • well she brings this song to life......no matter what Tammy was loved by the LOrd and the Lord so loved her as well.....thank God there is a heaven for the redeemed I am so thankful and nothing can separate the blood bought from the saviour who has gone to prepare a place for us.....what an anointing still on this song by Tammy...love you always

  • Rest In Peace, Tammy Faye :'(

  • @vermonttenor...this song is about mercy but you are showing none...God is not pleased with your hate and i dont think tammy would be either if she were alive..i shouldnt say any more because i dont even know if you are born again...if you are not..you need to repent if you are born again you need to repent..i was a PTL member for years and leave the scandal in the hands of Jesus..

  • I personally miss watching the old PTL,s Jim and Tammy shows. Oh were those the days my friend, I wish they will never end, until Jerry Falwell (another snake in the grass ruin it for everbody, at least the bakkers were the less of the two evils in my opinion anyways. At least the Bakkers didn't have there own private plane, like Foulwell had to jet around in!

  • Tammy Faye was the most precious person. I met her at the end of her life and I still have all the cards she sent me. She had a true and compassionate heart and Jesus shone through her.

  • She was an interesting personality and a nice person - poor little thing.

  • LOL

  • Thank You Miss Faye for all of the great memories and spirint you gave u, over the years. You are greatly missed. May God Bless your soul.
