However, I also believe that when so many Americans are without acceptable access to health care, the government's legitimate role is to step into the breach.
Sure, you can allow cross-state purchasing of private insurance etc. but that won' t be enough or timely enough.

The people can help those without healthcare, not the government. The government is only supposed to respond to immediate threats to civilian safety, right?

A lack of healthcare is a minor issue that can be resolved by the people.
