LUIS GUALTIERI / ON THE TRAIL OF LE CORBUSIER (RONCHAMP)

Is a great pleasure for me to show a little more of my book "On the Trail of Le Corbusier" . This video of the Notre Dame du Haut Chapel in Ronchamp is a compilation of various Miniclips of my experience in France in 2004. I recommend go to Belfort and see the Chapel, the personal experience is wonderful.

Yes, is a very beautiful song, the name is ELLE DORT, belongs to the record LES BEAUX DÉGÂTS of Francis Cabrel. Cabrel extracted this song of the film UNE EPOQUE FORMIDABLE of Gérard Jugnot.

I saw this building when I was a child, and again, just a few years ago... This, for me, is probably one of the most underrated, yet most influential, buildings of the 20th Century, and this presentation of it is exquisite... Thank you for sharing it...

hola estimado amigo creo que ( the chapel of notre dame du haut ) es una de las obras maestras de le corbusier y por lo tanto creo sinceramente que su obra y la misma colina de ronchamp deben se respetadas y corservadas ya que son patrimonio cultural de la humanidad..expresion maestra de las obras de le corbusier del siglo XX

I for one believe the Form has its own life and necessity; function may provoke or even condition the imagination of the designer, but after all the form is always the result of the personal and intimate running of thoughts. Functionalism is ideological, because it's only one possible way to guide and to give reason for personal choices; but even the most technical problem may have more then one answer, and the eventual choice is personal, i.e. not exclusively rational (imo).
