My husband has one, the eagle body on a 1979 jeep wagoneer frame. Crazy lifted, jacked up, hot wheeled out, and tough as shizzz!! looks just like this, and yet twice as tall...

They did way better than anyone expected especially considering that they were the least-modified cars there. I would modify that statement by saying "They went to Nürburgring, WHICH kicked ass." I mean, AMC at Nürburgring? In the early 80s, when they were in their death throes? The very idea is cool.

No, they took the Spirit to Germany, it's RWD brother. They did well, not "kicked ass".

Just think, this didn't sell well, but now people pay $80,000 + to have the same thing from BMW. The resemblance is amazing.

It's one of those very common top loading Sanyos. I'm on my 2nd one. I don't feel like looking on the closet right now for the model number. I've also owned a very large Sony, but the heads screwed up years ago and I threw it away.
