Parker Pool and River Oaks pool in 1976. Both located in Houston, TX.
Parker Pool is a city owned pool that would close in the fall and was drained. That's where we came in! There were several pools of the same design around the city that we would infiltrate, while keeping an eye out for the authorities. This was the early stages of pool riding. A year later we were riding all the way to the top grinding coping and even doing airs.
River Oaks Pool was on the property of an abandoned mansion in River Oaks. It had nice mellow transitions and you could pump the walls and keep going until your legs turned to rubber.

This footage was compiled from several sources, including a couple of longtime surfer/skaters that are no longer with us - Sandy S. and Eric G. - RIP
