aw! i'd rather have a fat cat rather than a skinny one... our cat is sooo skinny. she won't gain weight! we've given her dewormer from the vet's, and feed her as much canned food & hard food as she wants.. with no weight gain. D:<
and we have to get her fixed, but they won't if she's too skinny! :(

It could also be that the food label is missguiding you on the amount of food you should be giving it. On animal planet they explained how, some cats appear to be over weight even though the owners follow the directions on the food packages. The labels on the back of the foods aren't always accurate. Just thought I'd mention that.
