it was an m4 and yes you can hold it by the magazine for a few mags. I shot one less than a week ago and I was instructed to hold it by the magazine. I did it because when filming my hand on the grip made the gun look really weird.

Loving the sequel, you should get your entire cast on the screen at once for one great big zombie massacre! or several again and again!

I'm still trying to find a way of making the fps style camera angle, I've tryed most things, including duct taping a cam to my tac vest, editing in the weapon using after effects and I'm going to make a cam box to fit my Paintball gun's mount rail, the angle should be alright as Borg (A croatian paintballer) has used. youtube borg tech to see.
